Riding with cargo is core to Surly's mission on this earth, whether you’re running a front rack and bag setup or a full-blown cargo bike and trailer. There are times, however, when even the strongest riders are limited in what they can haul, so Surly created Big Easy, their long-tail electric cargo bike. Consider it the 18-wheeler of the cargo bike world, minus the diesel fumes. When it comes to geometry, Big Easy rides and feels like a normal-length bike. It has increased stand-over height clearance and they threw in a dropper post to promote bike sharing across different-sized riders. So, whether you want to wave goodbye to the old family gas hog, upgrade your bike-supported business’s two-wheeled fleet, or simply haul more bowling balls during your daily commute, Big Easy makes doing all that, well, easy. - Full component set perfectly suited for electric cargo bikes, including four-piston Tektro brakes - Equipped with Bosch Performance CX, their most powerful drive unit - Capable of running dual batteries for extended range, if you’re into that. (All mounting hardware and wiring included.) - Damping headset provides smooth and stable handling characteristics under heavy loads - Condensed bike size range and dropper post routing to promote bike sharing and to accommodate more riders per frame size - Includes Bosch Standard 4A charger, wiring harness, and brackets for additional battery
The Brompton Electric folding bike is the most compact electric folding bike available. The electric assist system provides power to flatten out the hills and increase your speed while still allowing you to enjoy all the benefits that riding a bicycle provides. After years of planning and design, Brompton was able to achieve a lightweight electric bike without increasing the folded size that Brompton is famous for. Brompton’s electric assist system was designed in partnership with the Williams Advanced Engineering Team, who combined their technical Formula One and Formula E knowledge to develop an electric bike motor that meets the complex demands of a Brompton. The Brompton Electric iPhone app will allow you to customize your ride settings and track your mileage while the smart sensor tells the motor when to provide assist. Ride into the wind or up hills with ease. The 300Wh battery provides energy to maintain 15 MPH with a range of between 25 to 50 miles from a single charge and also has an integrated display to select four different power assist options. The range of the Brompton Electric is dependent on the user output, assist level settings, and conditions of the ride, such as wind and hills. The battery (2.9kg) separates with one click from the lightweight electric bike (13.7kg) making it easy to carry. The compact fold of the Brompton Electric allows you store it safely inside your home or workplace, where theft is less likely. The Brompton Electric bike is available with either a gloss black or gloss white frame, with an option of either two or six speeds, and two handlebar height options -- either a M type or H type (more upright) riding position. There are also three different seatpost options depending on rider height. The standard Brompton Electric charger that comes with the bike is a 2A charger. Charge time is approximately 4.5 hours to get to full charge. The optional 4A fast charger reduces the charge time to approximately 2.5 hours. All of Brompton Electric bikes come with the standard battery bag, which has a pocket to fit your essentials or your charger. There is an optional commuter battery bag available that has room for your larger items like a laptop, as well as the power supply and other items. A Fork-crown mounted headlamp is powered by the 300Wh 36V battery.
